A Solid Air Structure

The Cricket Pitch Tunnel is the latest innovation in all-weather practice facility design. A member of our Solid-Air range of sporting structures, the Cricket Pitch Tunnel acts as a portable shelter enabling cricketers to practise and Groundsman to prepare pitches during inclement weather.

Solid-Air structures use high pressure inflatable technology, built by creating a cavity between two formed fire retardant composite textiles.  

The cavity is pressurised with air, forming an extremely rigid and stable structure. This high pressure technology offers lower operational costs than low pressure structures as there is no need for constant air pressure.  

Instead the tunnel structure and rigidity is maintained by sensor activated bursts of air, only topping up the pressure when required.

Unlike low pressure inflatable structures, our portable buildings use high pressure tubular frameworks which can support a wide range of equipment such as lighting gantries, heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment. They are able to withstand high winds and snow loading.

The Cricket Pitch Tunnel is a light weight, portable building that has been designed with a waterproof, translucent membrane which covers the framework. This provides a building that benefits natural turf growth and condition, as light can pass through the tunnel wall.

The tunnel is large enough to allow Groundsmen to work under to prepare pitches, whilst also benefiting the cricketer by providing an area to practice under cover in less favourable weather.When not in use, the tunnel systems can be compactly folded and stored away. They have been designed to be deployed and transported with minimal labour or a mechanical reel.

Bespoke
A Cricket Pitch Tunnel can be manufactured to bespoke sizes and dimensions as required, and can house an array of internal equipment including heating, lighting, ventilation and air conditioning systems. 

All our buildings can incorporate your artwork; from simple removable banners to digital printing applied directly to the structure. Artwork can be confined to small areas or can cover an entire building to create a visually stunning presentation of corporate branding. 

Warranty
The Cricket Pitch Tunnel comes with both a manufacturers and material warranty. 

Manufacturers Warranty
The Cricket Pitch Tunnel has a one-year manufacturers warranty.Material Warranty The framework has a five-year material warranty.
